Insta360 do two versions of the invisible selfie stick. One which you twist to lock and this one which you just pull out and stays in place.I’ve tried both and found the twist-to-lock stick annoying to use. It also unlocks and drops down too easily too.This is the better stick and the one you want.As well as being easier to use this stick is also cheaper (currently £13 vs £17 or so for the other) smaller when contracted and longer when extended.This one wins three times over!

 It looks to be off a decent quality overall. Very compact & lightweight no wobble when fully extended. It has good resistance when extending the stick not too stiff but not too easy to pull out. How long until it wears & slackens i cant say. But there are some shortcomings.When the selfie stick is fully extended you may find that it bends slightly to one side. I have uploaded a video showing the bend as i roll it on a level table. This may make part of the stick visible to the 360 camera. I bought two & they both have this bend. Also for the price they could have added a lanyard loop on the handle & made the rubber textured for better grip rather than have it smooth.Beware there are two variations of this Insta360 One R selfie stick depending on who you buy it from. One has a standard 1/4 screw that fits most adapters the other is much smaller (see pics). Both come with identical packaging & name. The only difference is ‘new’ written on the sticker which is the one with the smaller screw that i bought from the Insta360 Official Store. The other with the standard 1/4 screw i bought from iVisionTech. They need to make this clear to avoid disappointment.Overall i recommend it as a selfie stick with additional attachments so long as you dont need the stick to be precisely straight. Just make sure you get the one with the standard 1/4 screw.

Ordered one for my one x2 and it arrived with a bent connector meaning the selfie stick ended up visible in videos cause it wasn’t at the right angle.Returned and ordered a replacement same thing though slightly less bent.Hopefully third time is the charm…..

Great quality and price and even easier to use than my previous original insta 360 selfie stick. The new stick is the same extended length as the previous model but actually packs down an inch or two smaller which is great! The new stick is now locked open by friction rather than twisting which is much more secure. The previous selfie stick would sometimes slip due to vibration when skiing or biking whereas this one doesn’t. I’m very happy with this purchase 🙂

This is the new Insta360 selfie stick. It’s really short so fits inside an inside pocket.Fully extended it’s not so long though – about 70 cm – so drone-like shots are harder.It extends using friction between the different segments so any length between 16 and 70 cm is possible.There’s a threaded socket on the bottom so you could join two selfies sticks together if you like. It can also be usefully attached to a table-top tripod.Rubber grip handle is nice.Well-made and well-thought out.
