Been building pcs for years. I have one of these from a well known pc store in the U.K. so when I saw tgem on here for sub £50 I purchased one first thing I noticed was a vast weight difference from the one purchased in store in the U.K. and this one from Amazon. A very noticeable weight difference. I decided to install this one still but within a few weeks started getting blue screen errors when restarting the pc. I found the problem was that as the pc was restarting the hard drive wasn’t initiating quick enough so the operating system could not be read so my suspicions about it being fake were fuelled even more. I contacted Amazon who told me to bin it and gave me a refund so I could buy a replacement. Like a fool I gave the same product another chance and again it arrived and it was very light compared to the exact same drive purchased in store herein the U.K. again I installed it and again after a few weeks it has failed again so I am convinced these are fake.

I wanted to play with Linux on an old laptop without losing my Windows install. So I swapped this small (128GB) drive for the Windows drive and it works great! And excellent value.To the reviewer who complained that he paid for a 512GB drive but only got 480GB of storage this is a regular and incorrect complaint. A 512GB drive is just that: 512000000000 bytes. But if you use Windows it measures storage in binary GiB which are larger and hence you get fewer of them. Do the calculation for yourself:512GB = 512000000000 ÷ (1024x1024x1024) = 477GiBYou’re not being diddled.

I have purchased 6 of these and so long as they don’t go wrong everything is fine. One of mine failed so tried to make a warranty claim which was accepted. Problem is you have to send it to Czech Republic at your own cost. My broken drive has now been sat in their customs for the last 6 weeks and the company doesn’t care and won’t supply the info needed to get it released. SO BE WARNED. There are plenty of other good value drives on Amazon.

This drive is working very well. I installed it over a month ago & there’s been no issues.Im using several different PCs with SSD drives & this works as well as every other budget drive I’ve installed. Fast accurate & seemly reliable.Been using SSD drives now for around 2 years. They all have completely refreshed every PC I use. Increasing speeds dramatically. Renewing my older machines.Not one SSD drive has failed.I never pay more than £30 for a 256GB. £20 for a 128GB.Solid State Drives for me are the answer & first action to sorting most slow PC.’s. More so than increasing memory.I use an 11 year old Lenovo X201 that is now fairly rapid thanks to installing a £25 SSD. Windows 10 slowed the X201 dramatically. I thought it was trash before installing a SSD.It takes hardly any time to clone & install a SSD drive. It’s relatively simple.I paid £24.99 for this 256GB drive.

well were shall i start. i bought 1 of these for a client to install it on his pc.. it came through the post. and i opend it after 2 weeks when the job was due. when i did open it. i find a hitchachi 500gb sata inside. and no sign of the ssd. although amazon offered refund straight away. i still have to deal with my client and not being able to fullfill the commitment.i understand alot of people order these and then replace it with their old hdds and request a refund after. and then people like myself end up find it in the box after purchase. it is shocking that people do that.apart from this issue. i believe that it is a good product fairly priced and cheaper the most. it does come with a 2 year warranty aswell.
