I was able to mount this on a monitor arm I already had (as others noted it doesn’t come with one just the tray). The tray itself seems to be designed for a much deeper (keyboard height) laptop than either of the ones I use (one 15″ Macbook Pro and a 14″ Macbook Pro). The width is okay though I was trying to use it without the “seatbelt” arms at first and nearly dumped a laptop on the ground. You really do need them and they really are plastic… not something you’d want to be load bearing but enough to keep it on if it tilts. However I ran into two issues which I’ll document with pictures (worth 1k words and all that).The first problem was that as mentioned the tray is a lot taller than a lot of modern laptops. This means that the rubber pad doesn’t apply any grip on the top and it also doesn’t lift the laptop off the tray as intended so overheating can be worse. I fixed this by applying two rubber feet to the top part and it works great. Easy.The second problem is that since I have two laptops of different sizes and must swap them out daily it was a real pain to open and close the seatbelt tabs. The handle on the bottom is waaay too small to easily get a finger in on a regular basis. So I grabbed some popsicle sticks and taped them to the tabs. This looks awful but works really great.So I guess I’d say it’s not perfect and maybe you want to look for something simpler or a bit more expensive but it does work and is cheap. But also if you already bought one and have these problems I hope my solutions will be useful.

MissleaThe images show the metalic arm however when I received the product there is no ARM. In the description it is not mentioned that the ARM is not included like in the images.ding

Pros: Nice price low profile and 6-min assembly.Cons: Plastic side clips definitely won’t last if you’ll be using them a lot to secure and unsecured. They feel extremely poor.Also there’s no backing at all. If the tray tilts backwards for any reasons the laptop will fall. Pretty big con. They gave the front rubber stoppers but could’ve added 2 for the back at least as optional pieces for those who have 14″ and smaller laptops.Overall rating: Not bad but would’ve been much better if the side clips were metal with rubber tips instead of 100% thin plastic.

Los topes inferiores que evitan el deslizamiento de la laptop hacia el piso son de vil plástico muy débil pegado como con pritt. Se miran muy delicados. Es increíble que todo el accesorio sea de metal y eso tan importante lo terminen haciendo tan frágil. Siento en riesgo mi laptop no recomiendo el producto.

For that price I thought I would be getting a solid piece of metal. This “holder” will bend with the pressure of 1 finger. The 2 tiny plastic tabs used to keep the laptop from falling are a joke. One of them is stripped so it barely stays in place (I had to replace the screw). The 2 holder side arms are cheap plastic… so don’t even bother installing it …Overall if you have a beefy gaming laptop don’t bother buying this. If you have a thin ultra portable then this is for you…
