I was using XPG RGB cable extensions.Then I purchased a RTX 3080 Ti FTW3.Since the power connectors on the video card are reversed and since it needs three I had to replace the extensions for the video card. The XPG extension cannot swap the side the LEDs are on so those cables have to go over the top of the card instead of under it.The solution was the Lian Li Strimers (pronounced “Strimmer” as in “Rimmer” (I asked)).These cables can have the LEDs on either side. Since I was purchasing the GPU cable I went ahead and purchased the 24-pin as well. Both are the “Strimer Plus” versions.They work well. Both come with a controller and as long as you have the “Plus” versions either/both will work with either controller (they are the same controller). The controllers also have a passthrough for the motherboard RGB. And the good news for me is that when you power off your PC the controller remembers your setting even if it’s set to be off to allow the motherboard to control everything. The only exception is if the main power goes down then you will have to open the case and set your default again.The controller patterns are impressive and look better than motherboard patterns but don’t agree with the way my system is set up. I have 2 x aRGB 3-pin connectors and some of my stuff is on one connector and some on the other. The top connector is running these strimers and their controller passes the aRGB signal to an aRGB hub and the rest of my devices are all plugged into that 12-output hub. Using the controller patterns on just some things and having them all do the same thing because of the hub would just look strange. Also you cannot sequence patterns going to a hub as everything connected to it is treated as a single device.So I have not been able to test these units controlling more than just the two strimers but I bet it would look great if you only had a few fans.These strimers are expensive but highly recommended for any RGB junkies like me.EDITI have purchased the Lian Li fans that daisychain together and use one cable. The controller for those fans plugs into a USB header. Looking around on Amazon I found another Lian Li controller for the Strimer Plus. The PCIe 8-pin cable the 24 pin cable and the 3 x 8-pin cable all work on it and it also plugs into a USB header so you can control everything from the Lian Li software. I will have 3 x 140mm up front and 4 x 120mm on my AIO and rear exhaust. Just to let people know there is a USB controller available for these strimers.

 I have bought the 24 pin and 3×8 pin cables. The rgb module from the 24 pin will not work with the 3×8 pin only with the 8 pin cables. the 3×8 pin came with it’s own similar module and does work with the 24 pin at the same time.With the help of a small rgb cable adapter I was able to plug the Lian Li module into a lighting node pro and can now control the cables through iCUE. Otherwise you would need access to the module every time you want to change the color of effects of your cables.

These Strimer Plus cables are a huge improvement over the previous version. I went with the original ones first but was very disappointed. I like that in this version the light bars are thicker and cover the wires behind them and they are easier to bend and work with. Pricier in comparison but definitely worth it in my opinion since these will put your PC build over the top.Only downside is the controller. I did wish there was an easier way to go through all the nice preset lighting modes without having to open the side of my PC just to click a button. Not an issue if you plan on using your motherboard to control the lighting I guess.

 Overall a solid purchase. Only thing is they should include a remote for the hub that way we can have the option to control it by software or hub without having to open the PC. I had to modify my case and make a hole so I can place the hub outside.-1☆ because of the known issues of light flickering when using the software. My advice to people experiencing this is to remove that SATA power if you’re using 5v3pin. Using sata ang having 5v3pin seems to make it flicker (my personal experience).

 Très beau câbles avec plusieurs effets contrôlables Mais comme il n’y a aucune autre alternative sur le marché actuellement je trouve qu’ils se vendent très cher. L’installation est simple mais longue car on doit faire beaucoup d’ajustements du moins dans mon cas.
