Here is a valuable lesson for IT Kit manufacturers: Making nice hardware is not good enough if you fail to provide the best ways to extract the best benefits from the hardware.This is very much the case with XP-PEN Series 06 tablets. The tablet is nice it feels sturdy enough the pen is good and the pen holder has a smart design practical and stylish.However…The software and drivers are simply appalling! Here is the list of problems:1. The USB Drive supplied with the kit does not contain the correct driver so it is useless as you have to dig out the correct driver yourself from XP-PEN Official website… Daft! But easy enough so that’s what I did.2. The software and drivers downloaded from the XP-PEN Official website installed as per instructions at least that worked as intended!3. Although the drivers read pen pressure and show it on the gauge within the driver software screen this does not translate into pen pressure readings when you use drawing software such as COREL PAINT or any other drawing application I tried this tablet on.4. XP-PEN Help Desk was contacted and they responded quickly enough but even the XP-PEN Help Desk was unable to get it to work as intended. It was literally impossible to get the drivers to perform when drawing on applications other than the XP-PEN Driver software.Now let us be clear about this and as an IT Engineer I must be crystal clear: Writing Driver Software to “drive” operationality of hardware has one clear objective: The Driver must “drive” the hardware easily to cater for users of all abilities. That’s why drivers exist so that Kit users of all abilities are able to use the equipment easily.If a Driver fails to deliver on the objectives as set out above it compromises usability and ease of operation for any user and FAILS the End User in this respect. It is a let down that is not acceptable!I decided to return the tablet precisely because of the failure to provide adequate drivers that are easily obtained installed and used to acceptable levels of effectiveness. I am afraid XP-PEN has to step up their professional approach to the design of hardware drivers. Their software programmers need to do better much better.XP-PEN learn this lesson quickly and act upon it!And consumers need to step up their act too: If the drivers do not drive start returning the kit and I am pretty sure manufacturers will soon learn that providing poor drivers that do not perform adequately is no-no-no route!

Esta tableta me la compre por una necesidad muy grande yo me dedico a dar clases y por la contingencia sanitaria era necesario un pizarrón virtual así es que se me hizo una buena opción.Una de las cosas que mas me gusta es que la tableta es inalámbrica y se conectar por medio de un modulo wireless usb la batería dura bastante tiempo con el uso que le he dado que en realidad no es tan excesivo ni demandante.Lo intenté conectar con un software llamado SmoothDraw pero no me funciono del todo bien por lo que solo lo he utilizado whiteboard de Microsoft.Se me hace una excelente solución para dar clases virtuales.En cuanto al dibujo en realidad no puedo dar un punto de vista amplio por que no me dedico a dibujar de manera digital. Pero sin duda creo que funciona bien.

So long as you remember the traditional rules it is super easy to install. Best product so far beats any huion product I have seen or used. Costs the same as last huion product I had which was 1060plus. 1060plus relies on wires – wires for pens wires for pad wires your brain. I lasted two years as it reject wires so hard to work with. Comparing to x-pen huion feels coarse and un-fluent. As if for a novice no ever real desire for art but decided to take on art as a career randomly and chose digital at a bargain. X-pen respects the flow of an artist with the ease off pressure giving you a device like paper – wireless. No charging for the pen and the board charges and then disconnects from any shackles. It feels fluent and dynamic with a soft feel between sketch and screen. The pen on board felt a bit tough to start with but I got use to it after about half hour to an hour. It feels great and leaves you feeling like the artist that you remember. It is swift and pleasant to use especially as a temporary tablet then it is perfect. This one though I may just keep. I won’t no longer invest into huion as its quality is below acceptable. If you want to feel free and yet very much so involved with your creativity and your art…This tablet is the way to go.Thanks X-penGreat job team

I recently purchased an XP-PEN Star06 Wireless Graphics Tablet for use with my MacBook Pro running OS 10.12.6. Although I eventually achieved limited functionality from the tablet this was far less than I had been led to expect from the XP-PEN marketing literature.Having charged the device installed the PenTabletSetting drivers connected the device to my MacBook and restarted several times I was unable to get the pen to function in any useable manner. After causing a few random mouse-like movements of the cursor the pen/tablet became inert and had no effect on my screen/cursor.Following some experimentation I traced one fault to the fact that if you connect the USB cable (to charge the tablet) at the same time as the wireless connection (to use the tablet) then the interface between the tablet and the Mac doesn’t work.The tablet/pen works as a basic mouse when run either on the USB cable or by wireless but not if connected in both modes at the same time. I have been able to use the pen and tablet with a simple drawing application such as Paintbrush.However having tried all the various suggestions from the XP-PEN email support desk about the PenTabletSetting application I still cannot obtain anything more than basic mouse behaviour from the tablet. Consequently I have not been able to get anything useful out of the function keys or the roller on the tablet or out of the buttons or pressure modes on the pen. Just more electro-junk.With hindsight I could have purchased the basic functionality for less.In conclusion do not assume that the XP-PEN will work properly with your Mac.

This is a really top notch drawing tablet. I use it with a Windows desktop and with my MacBook Air and it plays superbly with both. The pen and tablet sensitivity is excellent and it’s really responsive. It connect to the computer really easily via Bluetooth and is a really solid connection and th battery life is great. I’ve used it for a number of work and personal projects involving heavy use of very detailed selections layer adjustments and drawing and it has performed brilliantly. It is easily as good as Wacom tablets costing hundreds more. I have previously used a Wacom tablet and I do think this X-pen tablet is just as good if not better and such good value. Highly recommended.
