The immersion lights have made our night time movie watching more enjoyable. But it’s in a subtle non obtrusive way which is exactly what I wanted. I have mine set to movie mode to extend lighted scenes beyond the screen.The installation was pretty straight forward. The lights come in a strip and you need to pay attention on how you mount them so i recommend reading the directions and following them closely (especially if you chose clockwise or counterclockwise). There’s also a camera that needs to be mounted so it can determine what color the LED’s should be (if you want to use it for TV / movies). You have two options to mount the camera top or bottom I opted for a top mount.It’s not perfect however. The stock camera mount is not designed for slim profile TV’s or those without bevels. I had a heck of a time coming up with a jury rigged system that worked with my TV. I hope future versions will provide more camera mounting options.Additionally the camera is seeing past what I calibrated as the surface of my TV and picks up the color of my flooring so I see alot of oakish colors coming from the LED’s especially if it’s brighter in the room.I don’t know the longevity of the system but I have other Govee products and they generally are of good quality (just had an LED strip power supply fail but Govee quickly replaced it for me).Another suggestion would be to provide integration to Samsung Smartthings. I would love it to start up every time I power up my TV and turn off when I turn off the TV. I know that there are DIY methods to do this not really interested to mess with custom integrations.Smaller issues but they’re enough to give it only 4 stars not 5.

 Update* ended up being a faulty camera govee support was fantastic & worked out a replacement – set it up and boom! It works great so awesome! I’m keeping it a 4* review only because I feel the camera needs to be adjustable for larger tv’s the design should have an extendable & tilted arm option. Other then that it works awsome when mounted in a good spot. I had to add a floating shelf below the tv for it to work with this size tv.Wish this worked was super exited for the 75″ kit. Unfortunately they made no adjustments to the camera for the size upgrade to tv’s this kit needs. It. The camera arm is to close to large tv’s you cannot get a successful calabration. The angle in wich the camera points at the tv is too steep with this size tv either they need to make an adjustable arm for the camera or stop selling the product until they have a solution. That one expensive oopsy for anyone looking to purchase the large kit. Wait til its been upgraded

So far there’s nothing I don’t like about the Govee backlight. It fits my 82 inch TV it was easy to install; I installed it while the TV was mounted to the wall. It was a bit tricky to calibrate but it figured it out on its own. There is no perceptible lack time and the colors are dead-on. There are lots of things you can do with the app but I’m happy the way it works by default. I would recommend this product.

This product was easy to set up and install. but the adhesion was not the best the camera has fallen off several times and sometimes the colors of the lights don’t match the screen. Though very cool the first few times the hype dies off very quickly especially when colors are off.

So amazing! I wish I found these sooner. The app controls all the functions and is extremely easy to use and install. Makes watching movies so much better!
