Mr. T. Jones5.0: I bought these because of internet recommendation and the need for a fast card for my GH5 4k video camera. I’d not heard of ProGrade before as I’ve always used SanDisk or Kingston memory – but because of the high speed required of the GH5 I found that ProGrade offered the performance (on paper) that I needed at a reasonable cost.I use my camera in probably the worst conditions all very dusty and damp conditions that is primarily in underground videography and photography – the occasional severe moisture exposure is thrown in during unexpected flooding etc.These cards (I bought two of them) have taken all that I can throw at them the poor things have a terrible life along with the camera and continue to just work. I have not ever lost any footage because of writing issues or bumps etc and am extremely impressed with the fast performance – at no time have I experienced issues with lost frames or buffering problems as found with some SanDisk cards when used with GoPro’s etc.I can completely 100% recommend these cards the footage they record is once in a lifetime important and they have not let me down in the worst conditions that I can throw at them.
Huw Richards5.0: Fair play I use a GH5 and was slightly worried about dropping down to a write speed of 130mbs for 4K but I was seduced by the 256GBs.Just shot a half an hour one take interview in 4K All-I followed by a load of 4K slow mo BRoll and it worked like an absolute dream with plenty of room to spare – didn’t have to dump my footage halfway through as I was used to with my 64GBs.
John Wildgoose3.0: Bought two of these in spring of 2022 but one suddenly started acting up thankfully without anything on it. It stopped being readable by my Canon 5D MkiV. Upon inserting it nto the slot an error warning issued it asked me to format the card but formatting it made no difference still woudl not play nicely and my Mac Pro M1 cannot mount it to carry out first aid. This makes me worry a lot about the other one failing on a shoot.UPDATEI got an email from Cistomer service offering in a very ‘no quibble’ way a replacement so this is good although it doesn’t assuage my reliability fears.
INGAF Aj5.0: I was a little cautious of this purchase as it was a lot cheaper than the other brand I normally buy. But after taking the plunge and using it consistently now for a few months it’s been an excellent purchase so good that I’ll be getting more of these ProGrade cards over the ‘S**D***’ ones. 100% recommend to anyone like me looking for uhs2 media but not wanting to rent out a kidney to do so!!
A. Daw5.0: Bought two of these for my Sony A1 and as soon as they arrived I put them in my card reader to see if they achieved the claimed speeds. I was worried because of several reviews stating poor transfer speeds. I tried three different card readers. 2 USB 3.1 and 1 USB-C. The first two (USB 3.1) readers showed the slow transfer speeds seen by others. The USB-C (It’s actually an Apple adapter for my iPad Pro) performed faster than claimed 280MB/s sequencial read and 180MB/s sequencial write using Crystal Disk Mark as others have done. It’s pretty clear that the other two readers are UHS-I only and I suspect that is the same for those who have complained about the transfer rates in the past.
